No Wedding, No Womb?

Horrified by the fact that 72 percent of African-American children are born out of wedlock, Christelyn Karazin encouraged black bloggers to address this issue on September 22, 2010 as part of the No Wedding, No Womb movement. The goal of No Wedding, No Womb was to:

“…promote healthy relationships in an effort to reduce the number of out-of- wedlock births and stem the socio-economic issues that arise from out-of-wedlock births within the African American community.”

The day resulted in a flurry of news articles and radio interviews about the movement and, no doubt, more speaking engagements for Karazin.
